Captain Weston Ulrich

Captain Weston Ulrich is a 4th generation, Native Floridian -born and raised in Saint Petersburg, where fishing and hunting has been a major part of his life.

 

Shortly after graduating high school, Weston realized that his passion was out on the water helping those who share the same love for fishing as he does. Therefore, he pursued to obtain his Captain's License.

Before obtaining his Captain's License, Weston gained a bountiful amount of knowledge as well as experience in the fishing industry as a first mate on many different charter boats, which ranged from 22 to 42 feet long. He did this for two consecutive years before starting his own business, Westward Fishing Charters. 

​

Captain Weston Ulrich loves being able to take people out and show them all that the Bay Area has to offer. He specializes in inshore sports fishing with live bait. Weston often spends many hours throwing the cast net prior to each charter in order to net live Threadfin Herring and Pilchards for each of his charters.  These live bait fish ensure for the best possibility of a successful fishing trip. He knows the lay of the land and what spots will reel you in fish within seconds of casting.

Whenever Weston isn't out on the water you can find him hunting, hanging with friends or spending quality time with his family.
